History

  • Selah Construction was Founded in 2007 by the Managing Director Mark Berryman. His aim was to create a construction company that people will recognize and trust. He named the new company “Selah” because the word means, “to look back and reflect on something great.”
  • Mark identified the need for home owners and families to find a trustworthy company to renovate or build their home.
  • From humble beginnings, a lot of hard work and passion for results, Selah Construction has grown and flourished to what it is today.
  • We are a team of young and enthusiastic builders and project managers, constantly striving for excellence and a reliable, and trustworthy team that deliver great results.
  • We are also passionate about working with those less fortunate than ourselves. In August 2008 our team of builders volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Cambodia, building homes for the poor. A life changing experience for us as well as for the Cambodian people. Since then we have been regularly involved with Habitat’s projects in New Zealand, e.g. the ”Guy’s v Gals Build” and the 2009 New Zealand Fashion Week. In November 2009, Mark and his wife Liz, went  to Vietnam to build 32 houses in the Jimmy and Rosilyn Carter Mekong River build over a week.
